The Juniverse :: Pucci Spring/Summer 2012 Collection

Pucci Spring/Summer 2012 Collection
This is a fashion story I wrote for celebrity stylist and VH1 star June Ambrose's new website, The Juniverse.

 If you want to talk about a jaw-dropping gorgeous spring/summer 2012 collection (which I’m betting you do!), let’s talk about Pucci. Pucci gave its ubiquitous colorful and bold patterns a bohemian makeover this season, and it is HOT. Pops of red brought the heat, bursting boldly on scene in rich materials and textures on ready-to-wear and accessories. Intricately patch worked ankle-skimming infanta skirts bellowed beneath chic crop tops, exposing just the right amount of midriff. Sheer lace, macramé, crochet amped up the sexy factor, with lingerie-inspired skimpy slip dresses, delicate camisole tops and frilly trim on knits doing double time as outerwear. To keep the look classy, super tight styles were nixed in favor of loose and flowy silhouettes that perfectly embrace the glamorous gypsy-style vibe to the collection.

However, no bohemian look is complete without piling on the accessories. Big earrings, one of the more notable trends that popped up on this season’s runways, are a key ingredient to mastering the easy, breezy summertime style. Go the Pucci route and put statement bling on each lobe accompanied by loose waves, or pair your big earrings with a topknot on those hot and sticky summer days for an instant cool factor. What’s not to love about big statement earrings? It’s a winning look all around.
